  • Presenting the abstract drone nature photography project: SOUNDSCAPES

    “Where nature becomes art”

Soundscapes is a devoted to the untamed beauty of landscapes. The photos captured through the lens of drone photography and presented in collections inspired by the elegance of sonata form in musical composition.

This book Soundscapes Volume 1: Rivers unveils the glacier-fed rivers of Iceland from above, showcasing intricate patterns, vivid colors, and dynamic textures. Shaped by volcanic landscapes and enriched by glacial sediment, these rivers create natural artworks that feel almost otherworldly. The interplay of water, minerals, and light forms a striking palette of colors: deep blues, milky whites, emerald greens, and golden ochres, transforming the land into a living canvas.

The idea was born from exploration, with images captured while traversing Iceland’s south coast, rugged F-roads and remote highlands. Through the unique perspective of drone photography, the braided streams, swirling currents, and layered sediments transform into abstract compositions.

Inspired by classical music sonatas, the collection unfolds that mirror the musical narrative of sonata form with three to four movements including introduction, development, contrast, and resolution. In this collection the series are named like a musical sonata; in Italian. Each opus, or each “sonata”, has also got a name in French.
